Sell your car in Montenegro
Listing a car on Fijaka is free and there is no commission on the sale. The form asks for eight details (make, model, body type, condition, year, mileage, fuel type and transmission), you add up to 30 photos and a video, and the listing is shown in 18 languages. When the car is sold, the buyer pays the 5% used-vehicle tax, not you.

Everything else is optional, but every empty field is a filter your car will not show up in.
Before you start
- The registration certificate and your ID: the sale contract is drawn up from them.
- The chassis number (VIN). Careful buyers check it in the pledge register for a lien or leasing before they pay.
- Service records and the date the registration expires.
- Daylight photos: all four sides, the interior, the dashboard with the mileage and the tyres.
- If the car is leased, the terms for closing the leasing contract.
When you agree on a price
- Contract
- In writing: both parties, the car (make, model, year, chassis and registration number), the price and how it is paid, the date and time of handover and the car's condition.
- Signatures
- Certified by a notary for 3.50 € per signature plus VAT, under the 2026 notary tariff.
- Tax
- The buyer pays 5% of the market value and files the request with the tax office within 15 days. Without it the car cannot be registered.
- You
- No capital gains tax on a private car. Keep a copy of the contract and tell your insurer: until the buyer registers the car, you are still in the records.
