How do you get to the lower station?
- The lower station Dub is in the Municipality of Kotor, about 200 metres from the Budva-Tivat main road.
- A shuttle bus runs to the lower station from Kotor, Budva and Tivat, and seats are booked on the cable car website.
- The upper station Kuk is at 1,348 metres above sea level on Lovćen, inside Lovćen National Park, about 18 kilometres from Cetinje.
How do you avoid the crowds?
- Plan the ride for the morning or for a day when few cruise ships call at Kotor, because there are fewer tourists in town then.
- Check the days with the most cruise ships in Kotor in the arrivals schedule, because on those days both the cable car and the Old Town are crowded.
- It is much colder at the top than by the sea, so bring a jacket even outside summer.
