Parking assistant for Montenegro: prices, SMS numbers and paying with a foreign SIM

An hour of street parking in Montenegro costs €0.40 to €2.00, depending on the town, the zone and the season: in Budva €2.00 in the purple zone in summer, in Podgorica €0.40 to €0.60. The Riva car park in front of Kotor Old Town costs €4.80 an hour in summer. SMS payment works only from a Montenegrin number, so with a foreign SIM you pay at a kiosk, a parking meter or in the official app. In Budva unpaid parking brings a daily ticket order of €50.

Paying with a foreign SIM

  • Official app: Parking Servis BudvaApp Store
  • Ticket from a kiosk or sales point
  • Car parks and garages with a barrier: pay at the exit

Data-only tourist eSIMs have no Montenegrin number, so SMS payment does not work with them; a prepaid SIM from a Montenegrin operator has one.

If you do not pay

You get a daily ticket order of €50; paid within 8 days, it costs €33.33.

Tickets are electronic: nothing goes behind the windscreen, the warden checks the plate in the system.

Car parks and garages with a barrier charge for each started hour at the exit.
