On the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry, which links Herceg Novi and Tivat across the Verige strait, a car pays 5 euros, a motorbike 2.50 euros and a passenger van 7.50 euros. Residents of Tivat and Herceg Novi pay 3 euros for a car, in season and out of season. Foot passengers, cyclists and people with disabilities travel free. Under the summer sailing plan, from 4 May to 11 October 2026, ferries leave every 15 to 20 minutes, around the clock.
The line is run by the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro, under a government decision of 15 February 2023, with a fleet of eight ferries that can carry 300 vehicles. This guide covers the fares by vehicle type from the price list the operator published in September 2026, the discounts, the schedule, buying a ticket and the most common questions.

- The fare is charged per vehicle, and foot passengers travel free.
- Residents of Tivat and Herceg Novi pay €1.50 for a motorbike and €3.00 for a car or pick-up, in season and out of season.
- The monthly pass for individuals costs €100 and covers up to 50 crossings a month.
- Ambulances, fire engines and official vehicles of the Police Administration and the Armed Forces of Montenegro also travel free.
- The September 2026 price list gives only a season ticket of 5 and 2.50 euros for a car and a motorbike, with no off-season fare. In the 2024 price list the off-season ticket was 4 euros for a car and 1.50 euros for a motorbike.
- A ferry can be hired by the hour, from €700 for the Perast, Kamenari and Lepetane ferries to €2,000 for the Ruka Pravde ferry.

You can also buy a ticket in advance in the operator's online ticket office by choosing the date and time of departure. If you would rather not take the ferry, the alternative is the coastal road around the Bay of Kotor, through Risan and Kotor.
Who does the monthly pass pay off for?
The €100 monthly pass pays off for anyone who crosses by car more than 20 times a month at the full fare of €5. Residents of Tivat and Herceg Novi pay €3 per crossing even without the pass, so for them the monthly pass only pays off above 33 crossings.
